Track file downloads or outside clicks
Event tracking allows you to monitor clicks to documents other than web pages, or towards sites other than your own:
- It will detect clicks to non-HTML documents (for instance you can use it to detect a click on a link to a video or to a PDF document).
- It will detect clicks to URLs outside your site (for instance you can use it to detect a click on a banner leading to another site).
To enable event tracking on a link, you need to add a bit of code to your page and modify your link slightly. Click the button below for step-by-step instructions.
