Debugging Web-Stat
If Web-Stat is not loading on your site
If for any reason Web-Stat is not loading on your site, the first thing to try accessing the site from a different computer. Is Web-Stat loading from the new computer? If it is, then the issue is with the original computer and browser and you can find out what is going on easily by following the steps below:
- In your browser click on 'View > Developer > Developer Tools' (Chrome) or 'Tools > Browser Tools > Web Developer Tools' (Firefox). This will open the browser's debugging console.
- Optional: if the console opens on the right side, change it to open on the bottom, like this:
- Follow the four steps below:
- Click on the 'Network' tab
- Make sure 'All' is selected
- Enter 'log7' in the filter box
- Refresh the page
- Click on 'log7.js' on the left side and look at the window on the right. It will contain any error message generated when attempting to load Web-Stat
- Make the console as big as possible by pulling it up, then do the same with the status message by pulling left. Take a screen shot and email it to our support as needed. Make sure the screen shot is big enough to be readable!
