What You are Seeing
- Pathways (Lines): Each line represents the sequence of pages visited by users, starting from their entry point and following their journey through your site.
- Nodes (Boxes): Each node corresponds to a page in the user's journey. The size of a node reflects how many users visited that page.
- Exits: Points where users left your site are marked clearly, allowing you to identify drop-off locations.
- Hover Details: When you hover over a node or connection, detailed information is displayed, such as:
- Over a node: See the total number of users arriving at and leaving from that page.
- Over a line: View the number of users transitioning between two specific pages.
Key Insights You Can Gain
- Understand User Journeys: See the exact paths users take through your site, from entry to exit.
- Identify Common Pathways: Highlight pathways users frequently take, helping you evaluate their efficiency.
- Spot Drop-Off Points: Pinpoint where users commonly exit your site.
- Assess Conversion Paths: Track whether users are following expected pathways to reach key conversion points.
What This Report Does Not Show
- Traffic Relationships: Unlike Navigation Flow, Click Flow focuses on sequences rather than page relationships or aggregated traffic volume.
- Timing or Page Duration: The report does not include information about how long users spent on each page.
Tips for Using This Report
- Track Conversion Funnels: Ensure users are following the desired path to important actions, such as purchases or signups.
- Simplify Long Journeys: Identify and optimize overly complex pathways that could lead to user frustration.
