Installing Web-Stat
account ID: web_stat
Copy the code below and paste it 'as is' in the HTML of all your pages, anywhere between the <body> and </body> tags (or in an HTML widget if your site editor does not let you edit your HTML and offers that option instead)
Note: if your site has a footer file that is automatically appended to all your pages, adding the code to that file will cover your whole site with just one installation

After you are done installing, click on the 'check my installation' button below and we'll verify that Web-Stat is properly installed on your pages.
Configuration:
The advanced version of the Web-Stat tracking code allows you to better control the way your stats are recorded and displayed. The items noted with this symbol require a Premium account to work. You can upgrade here if needed.
- page_name: by default Web-Stat records the pages people visit using their URLs. In some cases you might want to name your page, so that the name is used in the reports instead of the full URL. You can do this here. Replace wts7.page_name = ''; with wts7.page_name = 'some_name'; and the page will be recorded in your stats under both the name you have given it, and its URL.
The parameter page_name must contain only alphanumerical characters. - page_group: similar to the above, but used to group sections of your site together. For instance if you have a shop selling articles of clothing, you might want to have reports for each page and each article, but you might also be interested in a report in which all the product pages are aggregated under a single group. To do this, on each product page replace wts7.page_group = ''; with wts7.page_group = 'products';. The stats will then show your visitors behavior per URL, per page name, and also per page group.
The parameter page_group must contain only alphanumerical characters. - conversion_number: some pages on your site are more important than others and you want to see clearly which visitors reach them, and with what referrers. These pages are your conversion pages and you can define them in this section of the code. Web-Stat will keep track of up to 5 conversion events for you. To define a page as a conversion page, simply replace wts7.conversion_number = ''; with wts7.conversion_number = '1'; (for a conversion of type 1) or wts7.conversion_number = '2'; (for a conversion of type 2), etc. up to 5.
for example, you might want to define the page where people confirm the creation of a free trial of your product as a conversion of type 1, and the page where people confirm a purchase as a conversion of type 2. If you do, we will keep track of all the people who either created a free trial and/or bought your product for you and show you how they reached your site and how they navigated it.

- user_id: if you know who is accessing your site (for instance if the visitor signed-in), you can capture the user ID and insert it there (replace wts7.user_id = ''; with wts7.user_id = 'some_user_id';). Web-Stat will record it and show it in the 'visitors details' report. We will also create a new 'Users' report that will show you how many times users come to your site, how many pages they view and how long they spend.
The parameter user_id must contain only alphanumerical characters. - invisible: setting this parameter to either 'yes' or 'no' will override the normal behavior and make a counter visible (or invisible) on this page only.
