  1. How much does Web-Stat cost ?

    A regular Web-Stat account costs $5 per month. This price is all inclusive, and gives you a permanent account with stats identical to what is available in the free 30-day trial account. A regular account is basically the same as a free trial, except that it is ongoing and does not expire after 30 days. It also has a few added capabilities, such as the possibility to exclude your own visits and specific IP addresses from being recorded in the stats.

    A free trial account can be transformed into a regular account (with no loss of the existing stats) simply by 'registering' it, using the link on the menu bar (or directly here)

    If you need extra stats, we have two upgrades available for a few dollars more : the 'Plus' and 'Premium' programs. Upgraded accounts will, among other things, monitor your server uptime and connect time and measure your visitor's click-paths and page views.   2. How can I update the credit card that is used to pay for my account(s) ?

    You can update your credit card information securely online ; all you have to do is :

    • click on the 'Control Panel' link in the menu bar
    • enter your user ID and password and log in
    • go to the bottom of the screen
    • click on the 'update credit card info' link in the 'Payment Information' section
    • update the credit card information

    Note that for your security your credit card number and ID code are not stored online, so they will not appear on the update form.


  3. I have several accounts : how can I list them all ?

    • click on the 'Control Panel' link in the menu bar
    • enter your user ID and password and log in
    • go to the bottom of the screen
    • click on the 'update credit card info' link in the 'Payment Information' section
    • click on the link just above the credit card form (this link will only appear if you have several accounts with us)

  4. How can I cancel my account ?

    If your account is a free trial, you do not need to cancel it : it will expire automatically after 30 days and there is nothing for you to do.

    If you have a registered (paying) account with us and wish to discontinue our service you can do so at any time, no questions asked : simply send an email to helpdesk@web-stat.com with your user ID and password requesting that we cancel your account. We will proceed and send you a confirmation within 24 hours.

    Note that accounts are not pro-rated, if you want to cancel an account which you pay for monthly by credit card you must do so before the last day of the month (otherwise your card will be charged for the current period and that charge is not refundable).

    For example, if you want to discontinue service in April, you need to let us know by April 29 at the latest (if you wait until April 30 your credit card will be charged and the fee is non-refundable).


  5. Do you offer quantity discounts ?

    Yes, if you order several accounts with us and pay for them with the same credit card you will get quantity discounts of up to 50% : see details here.

    Note that you can create your accounts one at a time : when we charge you each month we will find out how many accounts are being paid for with the same card and automatically calculate the appropriate discount.


  6. How will your charges appear on my credit card statement ?

    Our monthly charges will appear on your credit card statement as either :

    • Web Tracking Services, LLC

    or...

    • Web Count/Track

    Depending on your bank


  7. Can I pay by check or money order ?

    Certainly : we'll be happy to accept checks or money orders in US Dollars for 12-month subscriptions to our service. When you sign-up for a full account (or register a free trial account) you can choose between :

    • monthly credit card charges (recurring)
    • one-time credit card payment for a 12-month subscription (not recurring)
    • one-time check or money order payment for a 12-month subscription (not recurring)

    If you choose the check or money order option, your account is immediately registered and an invoice is sent to you via email. You then have 10 days to send us your payment.


  8. I have lost my user ID and/or password

    You can recover a lost password or user ID (or both) from this form


  9. How can I change my password ?

    You can change your password at any time from the Control Panel for your account. There are two types of passwords :

    • the main password : it allows access to both the stats and the Control Panel

    • the guest password : it allows access to the stats only. Guest login is useful if you want to give access to your traffic data to someone else without relinquishing control of the account.


  10. Can I change my user ID ?

    Your user ID is embedded in the Web-Stat code which you have installed on your site, as a result changing it will cause the code to stop working and to display an error message. Still, we can easily rename your account but this will require that you replace the Web-Stat code on your pages with a new version which we will send right after renaming your account. If you want to proceed with this, please contact us, give us your current user ID, two choices of a new user ID (in case your first choice is already taken) and a statement that you have read this and are aware that you will need to replace the Web-Stat code on your site.

    As soon as we receive your message will will rename your account and send you the new installation code


  11. I am moving my site to a new domain : what do I need to do ?

    There are only two things that you need to do :

    • Update the 'URL of your main page' section in the Control Panel

    • Verify that the Web-Stat code is installed on the new site so that visitor monitoring can continue uninterrupted


  12. What is the difference between a free trial and a regular, plus or premium account ?

    A free trial and a regular account are equivalent, except for the fact that the free trial will only work for 30 days, while a regular account is ongoing. A regular account also has a few additional features (such as the possibility to exclude your own visits and specific IP addresses from being recorded in the stats).

    'Plus' and 'Premium' accounts offer additional stats (server uptime and connect time, click-paths, page views, conversion tracking) and keep detailed visitor data longer than regular accounts (500 or 1,000 lines instead of 100 lines).   13. How can I upgrade my account ?

    To upgrade your account, simply log into the Web-Stat Control Panel then click on the 'upgrade' link at the top left of the page.

    On the next page, scroll down to the bottom, enter your password, choose your type of upgrade and submit

    Note : if your account was paid for with a 12-month subscription you will not be able to upgrade using the method above. Instead send us a message with :

    • your user ID
    • your password
    • the type of upgrade that you want to sign-up for (Plus or Premium)
    • a statement that you authorize us to charge your credit card for the upgrade (or bill you if you have paid by check and we don't have your credit card information)

    As soon as we receive this message we will proceed with the upgrade and send you a confirmation.


  14. How can I downgrade my account ?

    You can downgrade your account at any time : , simply send us a message with :

    • your user ID
    • your password
    • the level at which you want to downgrade the account (Regular or Plus)

    We will proceed with the downgrade and send you a confirmation within 24 hours of receiving your message.
